Education: Unlocking Potential
Since 1994, we’ve provided quality education to children in Nairobi’s informal settlements through our three community schools in Mathare and Kariobangi. Today, over 1,000 students learn in safe, nurturing classrooms where they are empowered to dream beyond poverty.
Our schools are among the best performing in Mathare, proving that community-driven education changes lives. Beyond academics, we support children’s spiritual, social, and emotional growth while reaching more than 140 households through sponsorships and family interventions.
👉 Together, we can transform lives through education.

Kariobangi Children’s Home: A Place to Belong
Since 1997, Kariobangi Children’s Home has provided love, shelter, and education to orphans and vulnerable children in Nairobi’s Kariobangi North. Today, the home cares for up to110 children, nurturing them in a safe, Christian environment where they can grow, heal, and thrive.
With the completion of our new building, we are expanding our capacity to house and support even more children in need. But we cannot do it alone—we rely on the generosity of friends and partners to provide food, clothing, school fees, and essentials that make this home possible.

Feeding Program: Nourishing Hope
In Nairobi’s informal settlements, hunger is one of the biggest barriers to a child’s growth and education. Through our Feeding Program, Mathare Community Outreach provides daily meals to orphans and vulnerable children in our community schools, at Kariobangi Children’s Home, and to sponsored students in secondary and tertiary education.
For many children, these meals are their most reliable source of nutrition—helping them stay healthy, focused, and hopeful for a brighter future.
